Communication Enrichment Class Notice Re: COVID-19

he Communication Enrichment Class has resumed as of January 10, 2023. If you are interested in joining our virtual class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from ​1-2pm, please contact Jessica by email.

​Any updates for class will be communicated to each participant, and will be posted here. North Yorkers continues to monitor the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we will inform all participants when the class is ready to return in-person safely.

COVID-19: Information, Resources and Referral
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, North Yorkers has continued to share current information about the virus and its effects in Ontario and beyond.  This has been done through our COVID-19 Updates, which include current provincial or regional guidelines and information about the vaccines, as well as the state of the pandemic overall.  They also include upcoming virtual events, which anyone is eligible to participate in. 
North Yorkers is also actively researching topics related to COVID-19 on a regular basis, and we often base these topics off of questions that get asked through our website.  All of the information posted on our website has been sourced from credible outlets, including Toronto Public Health and Ontario Health. Visit our Q&A Archive for general questions and answers.

Welcome to North Yorkers for Disabled Persons Inc. (NYDP)

NYDP is a non-profit charitable organization that provides 24-hour support services to persons with physical disabilities who require assistance in routine instrumental/activities of daily living (IADL/ADL). We are committed to enabling greater independence, dignity and communication facilitation to the consumers that are supported by North Yorkers. NYDP is funded by the Central LHIN and Ministry of Health and offers supportive housing, attendant services, communication enrichment programming, outreach communication facilitation, and information and referral services. NYDP is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
